Governance

American Friends of the Prado Museum is a U.S. non-profit organization and operates independently of the Prado Museum.

It is governed by a Board of Directors which holds independent authority and exercizes independent decision-making processes in carrying out its charitable goals.  It also directs how contributions received should be used.

Board members, volunteers, and employees shall act in the best interest of the organization´s mission at all times, a mission based on our many values, including: Integrity, Respect, Loyalty, Quality, Accountability, Transparency, Responsibility, and Openness to Learning, Change, and Improvement.

The Board of Directors takes utmost care in the good governance of the institution and stewardship of its resources and acts with sincere dedication toward furthering its mission.
